To establish a robust foundation for the large-scale adoption of precision oncology by integrating clinical, genomic and pharmacological data into a single, accessible platform.

Genomcore BIMS offers a centralized and secure storage, and advanced bioinformatic processing, a shared knowledge base of genomic variants, automated generation of clinical reports and interoperability with existing healthcare systems.

Revolutionizing Precision Oncology with Genomcore's BIMS Platform

Genomcore's BIMS platform stands as a beacon of excellence in the biotech sphere, specifically designed to transform precision oncology within the Catalan Health System (CatSalut). This high-performance genomic analysis platform unifies clinical, genomic, and pharmacological data, offering advanced bioinformatics tools that automate genetic result access and enhance variant interpretation.

BIMS facilitates real-time data access for healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration and evidence-based decision-making. Genomcore's authentic solution provides secure data storage, advanced processing, and a shared knowledge base of genomic variants across hospitals. By streamlining data accessibility and ensuring interoperability, BIMS empowers CatSalut to deliver preventive, effective, and sustainable healthcare, marking a new era in precision medicine.

The three initial reference centers — those that led the design and pilot workflows, with a specific focus on pediatric and adult oncology — were:

  • Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron
  • Hospital Sant Joan de Déu
  • Hospital Clínic de Barcelona

Subsequently, 14 additional centers from the Integrated Public Use Health System of Catalonia (SISCAT) joined the initiative. These centers have been progressively integrated to ensure territorial coverage across the four provinces of Catalonia: Barcelona (12 centers), Girona (2), Tarragona (2), and Lleida (1).

In Catalonia, we needed to unify genomic data from all CatSalut providers into a single platform. With OMIQ-HES, we have managed to centralize this information, standardize diagnostics, and facilitate clinical decision-making.
