We present the OMIQ-HES, a high-performance genomic analysis platform for the Catalan Public Healthcare System
The official presentation of the OMIQ-HES project (Precision Medicine Platform of the Catalan Health System) was held in the Aula Magna of Casa Convalescencia, in the Sant Pau Modernist Enclosure.
Driven by CatSalut and with technological support from Genomcore, the project aims to optimize care processes and promote a more preventive, effective, and sustainable approach to precision oncology. It achieves this by enhancing data accessibility, facilitating collaboration among healthcare professionals, and laying the groundwork for scalable personalized medicine within the Catalan Health System.
Genomcore has been a key partner in this project, which involves implementing the Genomcore BIMS (Biomedical Information Management System) platform for primary, secondary, and tertiary use across the entire Catalan Public Health System (CatSalut).
By standardising the protocols and processes that we enable with the Genomcore BIMS platform, the OMIQ-HES project represents an opportunity to bring precision medicine closer to all patients.
