In November, Genomcore drove the digital transformation of Spain’s National Health System (SNS) during the Connected Health Forum 2025, held in Segovia and organised by the Spanish Society of Health Informatics (SEIS). The forum has established itself as a key space to debate interoperability, data governance, and personalised digital care. Genomcore actively participated, providing strategic insight and supporting the healthcare ecosystem in its digital transformation.
The programme addressed critical challenges for SNS digitalisation, including technological fragmentation and the proliferation of disconnected applications that complicate clinical workflows. Sessions emphasised the importance of integrating information without disrupting clinical processes, ensuring both efficiency and security.
The forum also highlighted the need for unified data repositories and comprehensive management of multimodal information — clinical, genomic and sociodemographic — from a holistic patient perspective, essential for advancing truly personalised care.
Another key topic was SNS preparation for the forthcoming European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation. Strategic projects PADP, ÚNICAS and SIGenES were presented as fundamental steps to ensure interoperability, robust governance, and security at both national and European levels.
