Genomcore at JISA 2025: precision medicine vision and key insights for the future of health data

On 22, 23 and 24 October, Genomcore took part in JISA 2025, the leading digital-health event organised by the Spanish Society of Health Informatics (SEIS), of which we are a principal technology partner.

During the conference, our CEO, Dr Òscar Flores Guri, together with Noemí Cívicos, Director General for Digital Health and Information Systems for the Spanish National Health System at the Ministry of Health, delivered a joint keynote outlining the future of precision medicine with a clear message:

“Genomics is only the beginning.”

They highlighted that real impact in healthcare depends on our ability to interpret and integrate multimodal patient data, scale it at national level, and ensure international interoperability under shared governance models.

The event also underscored three essential truths that the sector must address with rigour:

1. Integrating and managing multimodal data is essential

This challenge requires advanced data-management technologies capable of unifying all patient information to enable accurate diagnosis and personalised care.

2. Scalability and technological expertise

Nationwide genomics demands borderless interoperability and flexible, robust architectures that guarantee the secure flow of clinical information at scale.

3. Security as a standard, not an option

Personalised medicine must be grounded in the highest standards of data security and privacy, with ethical and legal rigour at the core of any health data solution.
