Results

The Medigenomics project successfully developed a centralized platform for genomic data analysis in the Community of Madrid, integrating massive sequencing data with consent management.

Medigenomics is the result of a collaboration agreement signed by the Consejería de Sanidad de la Comunidad de Madrid and the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación. in December 2020. This initiative falls within the framework of Línea de fomento de Innovación desde la Demanda (FID) to boost public procurement of innovation in the healthcare sector.

Project

Maximizing diagnostic efficiency through an integrated sequencing solution

Combining the entire sequencing analysis process on a single platform would improve diagnostic efficiency and effectiveness, cutting down on time and sample handling. Genomcore, an innovative computerised platform could analyse, compile and store genomic information of healthy and ill individuals.

Medigenomics 50% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through a grant awarded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain, worked with Genomcore Profeessional Services in Bioinformatics and Frontdesk.
